We’ll appoint a dedicated NPI Representative to manage design changes and improvements through the proto-type & pre-series phases of your project. This means we can respond quickly, evaluating and reacting to any changes to your requirements; to the volume you need, or for any other engineering amendments.

Quotation
We’ll provide you with a detailed and competitive quotation from the outset.
We can work from diagnostic and engineering diagrams using CAD, or as Word or PDF documents. We’ll use this information to source the necessary components at competitive prices, developing a cost-effective manufacturing process for your project and product.
Procurement
We have excellent supplier relationships, and we use these to source components with the best lead-time and at the best cost – savings we pass directly to you, our customer.
In line with our rigorous Quality Control processes, we have a comprehensive stock system to control both our own fully procured stock and any free-issued stock.
Where parts may be obsolete, Convert’s engineers and technical team use our years of experience to suggest alternatives, or even improvements.
Manufacturing Process Controls
At Convert, our continual investment in equipment and machinery means that we can offer you the best possible solution to your production requirements.
Once we receive your order, we use Omnis Manufacturing Software, with full stock control and works order processing capabilities. A bill of material and production control capacity allows us to plan, monitor, and control all aspects of your order – from receipt to dispatch.
Detailed assembly plans generated contain all the necessary information to ensure we manufacture your products to a consistent standard of quality. Our dedicated Quality Control staff use this data to perform in-process inspections throughout the manufacturing processes – and prior to final assembly as well as dispatch.
Assembly boards are produced to aid production processes, helping us to provide a fast turnaround without compromising on quality.
We know how important traceability and quality are to our clients. Throughout all our processes, we have full traceability of materials and labour.
The Engineering Process
Our expertise in production engineering allows us to develop a manufacturing solution that takes full advantage of our comprehensive, modern facilities – meaning consistently high quality for our customers, with real benefits over in-house manufacturing.
We review non-standard cable harnesses as well as products that may need a non-standard assembly method. We can reverse engineer cable loom requirements, working with you to define materials, and can then design a production process that meets your specific needs.
After carrying out a product feasibility review, we produce prototypes and product samples. Using our comprehensive test equipment, we can produce a functional test report and an initial sample inspection report for validation.
Data collected during this process allows us to develop detailed quality and assembly plans, containing all the information needed to produce high quality cable assemblies, bespoke to your products.
